Split by Share

A more flexible way to split payments

Equal splits don’t always make sense.
Sometimes one person is covering a larger chunk. Other times, everyone is contributing different amounts — and that’s okay.

Split by Share is a new SuperCheckout feature that lets users assign specific values to each participant before payment. Whether it’s ₹1,000 from one person and ₹400 from another — the total is tracked, paid, and confirmed in one shared flow.

Custom amounts. Single checkout.

The flow is simple:

  1. The initiator creates a shared checkout and sets individual contribution amounts

  2. Each participant receives a unique payment link

  3. They pay their assigned share — no confusion, no math

  4. The total auto-tracks in the background and updates in real-time

Split by Share works out of the box across UPI, cards, wallets, and bank transfers.

Use cases

Split by Share is ideal for:

  • Group bookings where different members pay different portions

  • Corporate teams covering specific costs

  • Friends chipping in unevenly for events, gifts, or shared purchases

  • Marketplace platforms enabling sellers to request split payments across stakeholders

There’s no manual coordination or follow-up. Everyone sees what’s due, what’s paid, and what’s pending — all in real-time.

Built into your existing flow

You don’t need to change anything to start using Split by Share. It’s available on all SuperCheckout plans and works with the same SDKs, APIs, and dashboards you’re already using. Enable it from your dashboard, or pass a parameter into the checkout session config.

Now live

Split by Share is now available to all SuperCheckout merchants.
